Brazil football team in the ongoing 2022 World Cup are plagued with injuries after it was confirmed that another star player Antony is down with illness.
Antony missed training on Friday same day it was revealed that Neymar has been ruled out of remaining group matches.
Neymar had limped off against Serbia on Thursday in the opening group encounter after injuring his ankle.
According to a Brazilian Journalist Isabelle Costa, Antony was one of four absent players.
Along with Neymar, West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta and Liverpool star Alisson Becker also missed out.
Antony’s setback comes less than 24 hours after making his World Cup debut in the Serbia win.
It was the ex-Ajax star who replaced Neymar late in the game.
Aside Antony, Tito still has an abundance of wide options, with the likes of Rodrygo, Gabriell Martinelli and Flamengo’s Pedro all waiting in the wings.
