The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has given the 24 participating national teams at the 2023 Nations Cup up to January 3, 2023, to submit their lists.
Already, the upcoming AFCON is scheduled between January 13 and February 11, 2024, in Cote d’ivoire, with the draw for the tournament set for October 12, 2023.
According to the organisers, the 24 teams will be drawn into six groups of four.

However, only 23 of them will make the final cut for each team being standard CAF requirement.
Over 30 English Premier League players are expected to be named in AFCON squads for the 24-nations tournament.
From the 23-man list, Nations are expected to pick three goalkeepers and 20 outfield players for the 34th edition of the African soccer frenzy.
