Indications emerged on Monday, January 1, 2024, that former international Vincent Enyeama is most likely to join the Super Eagles’ technical crew in Cote d’ivoire before the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations gets underway.
This is after he posted a message on his Instagram page about joining Super Eagles in AFCON camp.
He was previously quoted as saying he left the team because he felt he was treated poorly without respect.
He also added that since his exit, he put up a block between himself and the Super Eagles, and hasn’t been watching their games.
Enyeama, 41, featured in over a century of games for the Nigerian National team, but shockingly left the team in 2015, announcing his retirement when he was 33 years old.
AFCON Trophy
And barely 12 days to the start of the 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, the trophy has finally returned to the country.
The trophy has been on the tour of the 24 qualified countries in the last month and it came to Lagos Nigeria few weeks ago.
The trophy arrived in Abidjan late on Sunday evening and it was received by the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee.
