Presidential hopeful and former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu has avowed that he is the man for the moment that is mostly qualified to take over as President from Muhammadu Buhari next year.
Speaking on Tuesday night while wooing delegates at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention, Tinubu said his experience and Lagos Governor makes him “unique” among other aspirants.
He thus charged party delegates to take up the task of select a flag bearer with the seriousness it deserves, adding that it is a heavy responsibility heaped on their shoulders.
“I have the experience, I transformed Lagos from a dangerous unclean place in 1999, to a clean, safe and vibrant place, and the 5th largest economy in Africa today.
“APC must emerge today as a unified force,” he said.
Speaking on insecurity, Tinubu vowed to “fight terrorism and insecurity to the very end”. “I will forever erase terror from our land. I am a serious man with a serious purpose,” he added.
