Global football body, FIFA, will on March 31 hold the draws for the upcoming 2023 U20 World Cup scheduled for Indonesia.
The draws will produce fixtures for all qualified team across the world starting with groupings.
Up to 24 countries from six continents are expected to pick qualification slots for the biennial soccer event holding between May 20 and June 11.
Already, 20 of them including the host nation are known including four from Africa.
The teams from the continent who recently qualified from the ongoing U20 African Cup of Nations are Nigeria, Sengal, Gambia and Tunisia. Of those countries, three are from the West Africa sub region.
Among is Nigeria’s Flying Eagles who are the most successful at the U20 AFCON with seven titles.
Seven-time African champions Nigeria last appeared at the tournament in 2019 in Poland, where they reached the Round of 16.
Brazil, England, France, USA, Fiji, Italy, Uruguay are among the teams that have qualified for the global competition.
