Egypt emerged the biggest winners at the end of a first African Esports Championships hosted in Casablanca, Morocco.
The week-long competition was staged inside the Mohammed V Sports Complex.
After performing in an outstanding manner, Egypt won three of the five titles at stake.
The north African athletes grabbed PUBG Mobile, MLBB, and MLBB Women titles.
Heritage Times HT reports that Morocco, the host country, also shone large, taking second place in the PUBG Mobile and MLBB categories, to qualify for the Riyadh 2024 World Championships.
Another north African representative Tunisia, and South Africa won the other categories.
The African Esports Championships, held between August 16 and 21, 2024, with a prospect of better things to happen as long as the sport is concerned.
The competition was organised by the African Esports Confederation (ACES) and the International Esports Federation (IESF), in partnership with the Royal Moroccan Federation of Electronic Games (FRMJE).
