Two of the abducted students of Bethel Baptist High School in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, have escaped from their abductors.
This is coming a week after the Police rescued one of the abducted students.
Recall that a total of 121 students of the school were abducted from their hotels by bandits on July 5, 2021.
According to a source who spoke with DailyTrust, the escaped students, who are brothers, are currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
This was also confirmed by the Spokesperson of Kaduna State Police Command, Mohammed Jalige, who said the two students were picked on Wednesday evening around Rijana area along the Kaduna-Abuja highway.
He said the students have been taken to a police medical facility where they are currently undergoing medical examination.
“They escaped but were found in the bush and we took them to the hospital. A statement will be issued,” he said.
It was also gathered that, on Monday, the bandits released one student on medical ground.
Therefore, a total of 119 students are still in the bandits’ custody.
The bandits have demanded a N60,000,000 ransom for the kidnapped students.
