The traditional ruler of Jaba in Kaduna State, Jonathan Maude, has regained his freedom three days after his abduction.
The 83-year-old royal father was abducted on Monday on his farm in neighbouring Nasarawa State.
In a report by Peoples Gazette, a source close to the palace, who pleaded for anonymity, disclosed that the traditional ruler had returned home in “good condition”.
It could not, however, be confirmed if any ransom was paid before his release, as the kidnappers had allegedly demanded N100 million.
The Spokesperson of Kaduna State Police, ASP Mohammed Jalige, also confirmed the release.
The release of the traditional ruler is the latest in a series of abductions involving traditional rulers in the state in recent times.
