Long-time rivals, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo may renew their rivalry in the UEFA Champions League yet again, as PSG have been drawn in the same Group with Manchester City.
This is as the draw comes amid Ronaldo’s rumoured move to the blue side of Manchester in a mega deal that may be sealed in a few days.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s bid retain their European crown next month, will see the Blues take on Juventus in Group H.
The draw was held on Thursday in Istanbul, Turkey with the competition to run from 14 September 2021 to 28 May 2022.
Drawn in Group H, Chelsea and Juventus will also take on Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg and Swedish side Malmo.
Barcelona and Bayern Munich are joined in Group E alongside Portuguese giants Benfica and Dynamo Kyiv of Ukraine.
In their last meeting, Bayern battered Barcelona 8-2 enroute to winning the Champions League title in 2020.
Manchester City are in Group A with Paris Saint-Germain, RB Leipzig and Club Brugge.
Group B which already appears to be the group of death, has Liverpool, Atletico Madrid, FC Porto and AC Milan.
Group D has Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Shakhtar Donetsk and Moldovan side Sheriff, while Group C comprise Sporting Lisbon, Dortmund, Ajax and Besiktas.
Last season’s Europa League finalists Villarreal and Manchester United will battle with Atalanta and Young Boys, while Lille, Sevilla, Salzburg, Wolfsburg make up Group G.
This season’s UEFA Champions League final will be played at the Krestovsky stadium, Saint Petersburg, Russia
