Luton Town are now back to the English Premier League, after 31 years of absence.
This was after they defeated Coventry City 6-5 on penalties in Saturday’s championship playoff final which was held at Wembley Stadium.
The penalties were triggered after the match ended 1-1 following extra time at Wembley.
It was Coventry’s Fankaty Dabo who missed the crucial penalty, blazing his shot over the crossbar, to seal the win for Luton.
Luton will join Burnley and Sheffield United that won automatic promotion as Championship winners and runners-up, in next season’s Premier League.
Luton Town were relegated from the Football League First Division in 1992.
The Premier League began the following season.
