A 75-year-old man from northern Israel has died of a heart attack barely two hours after receiving Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine.
Director-General of Isreal’s Health Ministry, Chezy Levy confirmed that the deceased had pre-existing conditions and had suffered several heart attacks in the past.
The man was inoculated at around 8:30 a.m. at a Clalit Health Services clinic. He stayed at the facility, as is customary, for a short period of time to ensure he had no side effects. When he felt well, the clinic released him.
Sometime later, the man lost consciousness and was later confirmed dead from heart failure.
Mr Levy who issued a statement noting that the country “share in the grief of the family,” added that “the vaccination campaign continues.”
However, he has appointed a case investigation committee headed by the head of the Safety and Quality Division in the Ministry of Health.
