It’s a beautiful VALENTINE’s DAY, and here are five fantastic ways you can spend your valentine:
1. Give money to anyone in need, no matter how small:
Showing love on Valentine’s Day doesn’t necessarily mean giving only to your lover. Let us see valentine as something that deals with putting a smile on people’s face. When we say people, it could be anybody, it could your sister, your mother, your neighbor, your Pastor, an orphan and even to God. If you don’t have a loved one to share valentine with, I’m here to tell you that you can give out money, food stuffs, clothes or any other thing to those who are genuinely in need and watch how you will put that smile on their face.
2. Take your partner on a dinner date:
Taking your partner out on a dinner doesn’t require you to break your bank. There are quite restaurants with pocket friendly prices. Nevertheless, if your bank account is telling you that you can do something big for your partner, then you can do that, but if you don’t have the capacity to go to the most expensive restaurant, please and please do not go there so that you don’t go broke. So to the main point of this discussion, take your partner to a pocket friendly restaurant, buy him/her a gift, if it’s a lady, do well to add roses, talk about future plans on the date, express your feelings, have deep and meaningful conversations, make sure you crack some jokes in the middle of the conversation, let them know how special they are, make sure you say “I LOVE YOU”, and make sure you mean it.
3. If you feel lonely, spend the day celebrating with your family:
As much as everyone would love to celebrate their valentine with a boyfriend/girlfriend, fiancée/fiancé, husband/wife, it doesn’t always go in that direction. Guess what?, there are other people one can celebrate valentine’s day with, and that is your family. What can be bigger than family? Absolutely nothing! You all can prepare a beautiful meal, take a sit in the sitting room and watch several movies together. If that doesn’t sooth your kind of family, then that’s totally fine, you can all go for an outing either to an amusement park, zoo, cinema, or any fancy restaurant.
4. Go out with your friends and have fun:
Yeah I know that it’s not everyone that have their family around and that is totally fine. No need to feel sad, you can spend your day with your friend/friends, visit your friend, plan an outing to go on a boat cruise, magic land, a party, a fancy restaurant, you can even go swimming, just go for anything that will result to you having a well spent day with your friends.
5. If you are unable to do anything listed above, then try this:
As much as some people really want to go on a date with their partner, or spend time with their family and friends, or even go out to give to those who are in need, they find it impossible to do so. Maybe because of lack of funds, or being an introvert. I don’t know if you know this, but before you can love anyone, you must first love yourself.
Whether you are an introvert or a person who is busy 24/7, or you are single and you think that valentine is only for couples, I’m going to give you some tips on how you can enjoy your valentine’s day;
The first is dress up, look good, look at the mirror and tell yourself “I AM GOING TO SHOW MYSELF LOVE TODAY”, take good pictures of yourself today, buy yourself that meal you’ve been craving, go for a manicure and pedicure, get yourself that chocolate flavored ice-cream with some toppings and just see how bright you will smile at the end of the day. Also, if you feel there is too much pressure from social media on valentine being all about couples, please log out of your social media account for today and enjoy yourself today. If you will be busy at your place of work, ensure that you make meaningful conversations with your colleagues, share sweet memories and make them laugh.
