The Algeria Football Federation has requested a replay of the 2022 World Cup Play-off return leg against Cameroon, citing officiating errors.
According to the Algeria FA, Gambian referee, Bakary Gassama made an erroneous decision in ruling out Algeria’s first goal.
The North Africans had two goals cancelled by the Gambian referee in the return fixture which took place in Blida, Algeria.
A report by the Algerian Media says FIFA President has announced an investigation into the Algeria-Cameroon match after receiving a report from the German referee in charge of the VAR room.
