Rishi Sunak has arrived in Kyiv to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Since Mr. Sunak became prime minister, it is the first time the two leaders have interacted.
Mr. Zelenskyy tweeted a video of the PM’s arrival on Telegram and wrote: “Ukraine and the UK have been the war’s biggest allies since the beginning.
“We discussed the most crucial concerns for our nations and for international security during today’s meeting.
“We are stronger when we work together, and we shall succeed in our goals.”
The Prime Minister is in Ukraine today for his first visit to Kyiv to see President Zelenskyy and confirm continuing UK support, according to a representative for Downing Street.
