Two African clubs – Kano Pillars and Al-Ahly are now rated above Inter Miami in the world ranking.
While Pillars, is a Premier League club based in Nigeria, Al-Ahly are in Egypt top flight level.
Egypt’s Al-Ahly are the leading African club in the ranking with 1,703 points in the 50th position.
Kano Pillars are number 728 with 1390 points.
Top player and Argentina’s captain Lionel Messi plays for Inter Miami, a club owned by David Beckham in the MLS.
Inter Miami was on number 1,538 with 1,294 points.
The seven-time Balon D’or winner moved to Miami after leaving French champions Paris Saint-Germain following two seasons at the club and has signed a contract through the end of the 2025 MLS season.
The 36-year-old has since scored 10 goals, three assists in eight appearances.
According to the football ranking released via website on Monday, the soccer club’s ranking was updated after matches played on August 27, 2023.
The latest ranking puts Manchester City as number 1 with 2086 points, Bayern Munich as second with 1950 points, and Real Madrid third with 1942 points.
Victor Osimhen’s Napoli are placed fourth position with 1924 points, and Inter Milan followed with 1917 points.
Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle and Manchester United sat at sixth, seventh, 16th and 17th with 1900, 1871, 1819 and 1811 respectively.
