Bandits have finally released the abducted Kagara Government Science College students, their teachers and family members.
Following their release during the early hours of today, they were taken to the Niger State Development Company (NSDC) hotel for medical attention and are expected to be briefed by the State Governor, Abubakar Bello.
Although it is not certain whether a ransom was paid to secure the release of the students, Governor Bello has repeatedly said his administration would not pay money to the bandits.
Journalists were barred from the state owned hotel located opposite Government House as the mobile police men brought the boys to the hotel along with the state Commissioner of Police, Adamu Usman.
A video clip trending on the social media as at the time of filing this report, shows a group of famished school children and women being escorted by the military into what appears like a deserted school.
