Nigeria’s Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) star Israel Adesanya is already making moves for immediate rematch with Sean Strickland, few days after he lost UFC middleweight title.
Adesanya lost his UFC middleweight title in a shocking unanimous decision defeat to Strickland, early hours of Sunday in Sydney, Australia.
After the contest, the Nigerian fighter stepped into the media room to announce that he wanted to be with his friends and family, and that his coach Eugene Bareman would offer answers on his behalf.
Bareman said all the technical things that had to do with Adesanya’s training camp were perfect and there was no excuses for the loss.
Bareman is hoping the UFC books an immediate rematch between Adesanya and Strickland, as he’s confident they can get the belt back.
The head coach at City Kickboxing believes Adesanya wasn’t on his A-game, and he’s sure they can beat Strickland even if they fought immediately.
Another Drake’s Lost Cash
Already, rapper Drake is counting his loses after missing out out on a $920,000 payout following Adesanya’s defeat.
The award-winning rapper gained notoriety for his UFC bets last year but has gone on a mixed run of form with some big wins and losses.
Drake’s latest bet was placed on Adesanya to knockout Strickland in the main event of UFC 293, but he lost out on a six-figure payout as Strickland produced a massive upset by winning a unanimous decision.
