The Africa Women Summit (AWS) has signed a groundbreaking partnership with Sytiamo Technology Limited to provide financial empowerment to 300 market women in Nigeria.
The initiative, which was disclosed in a statement by AWS Founder Belema Meshack-Hart on Sunday, will deliver interest-free micro-loans to the women, boosting their businesses and creating lasting economic opportunities within their communities.
According to Meshack-Hart, the project aims to uplift hardworking women at the grassroots level. She emphasized that economic empowerment of women has a ripple effect on families, communities, and the nation at large.
“By supporting these market women, we are fueling an economic transformation that extends far beyond individual beneficiaries,” she stated.
She noted that some of the selected women attended the recent inauguration event organized by AWS and Girl Child Summit (GCS).
Meshack-Hart further disclosed that the partnership with Sytiamo Technology Limited, a well-established micro-lending institution, will ensure the efficient management and implementation of the project.
The AWS also called on the public to support and share this empowerment mission, urging people to help spread the word to women in need of financial and entrepreneurial opportunities.
The AWS said its broader vision is fostering economic empowerment of women across Africa.
