Armed robbers on Monday morning reportedly invaded the home of Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
According to El Pais, at least four men climbed into his garden and threatened him with firearms and iron bars – and the crooks escaped with jewels after gaining access to the player’s safe.
Aubameyang who joined the club from Arsenal in January – was assaulted by the men in front of his wife, the report claims, with the criminals escaping in a white Audi A3.
The Barça striker has been victim of an assault in his own home in which he has been threatened with firearms and iron bars and has even ended up receiving some blows.
After the escape of the criminals with the loot, Aubameyang’s own wife was in charge of denouncing the assault before the security forces, according to Official sources.
The Mossos d’Esquadra, the Catalan regional police, would already be investigating the event to try to find the authors of a crime of which, in the past, several defenders have already been victims.
Earlier this year, Karim Benzema suffered a robbery in his house while playing a match with Real Madrid against Elche.
