Ola Aina’s goal against West Bromwich Albion on November 2 has been nominated for the Premier League Goal of the Month award.
The Super Eagles left back powered home a rocket outside the penalty area at Craven Cottage to hand Scott Parker’s side their first league win of the season.
The Nigeria international had doubled the hosts’ lead with his left-footed strike, four minutes after Bobby Reid opened the scoring in the 26th minute to seal a 2 – 0 victory over the Baggies.
The 24-year-old has seven League games under his belt this season and would relish the opportunity to complement his impressive show in the game with an award.
Among other contenders for the award are Crystal Palace Eberechi Eze, Manchester City’s Ryad Mahrez, Southampton duo Danny Ings and James Ward-Prowse, Brighton and Hove Albion’s Solly March, Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy and Leeds United’s Raphinha.
Aina’s Fulham are just one spot off the relegation zone with seven points from 10 games.
