Father of Anele ‘Nellie’ Tembe, the late fiancée of South African rapper, AKA has said his daughter died from drugs and not suicide.
Recall, The 22-year-old died last week after falling from one of the upper floors of Cape Town’s Pepper Club Hotel.
Nellie’s father, Moses Anele made the recent revelation on Friday as his daughter was laid to rest.
Nellie was laid to rest in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, in the early hours of Friday, after her body arrived in Durban on Thursday.
Speaking during the funeral, Nellie’s father, cleared the air on the circumstances surrounding his daughter’s death, saying she didn’t die by suicide.
He stated that his daughter was not suffering from depression, adding that he believed her death was due to drugs and not suicide.
AKA and Nellie had earlier gotten engaged in February this year.
