Al-Jazeera journalist, Mahmoud Hussein, has finally regained his freedom after four years in detention in Egypt.
The Egyptian government accused him of publishing false news and held him under preventive detention since December 2016.
A security source revealed on Friday that Mr. Hussein was released from jail on Thursday night. The source did not give further details.

Al-Jazeera has bee consistent with running daily campaign for his release, stressing that he was being held without formal charges, a trial or conviction.
