Allegations that Stephen Achema, the Managing Director of Zoe New Dawn Nigeria Limited has defrauded Nigerians of up to N5bn in Real Estate dealings has been debunked, and described as “frivolous and baseless”.
Achema who owns the Real Estate firm based in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, was accused of conniving with top officials of the city’s Development Control, the Abuja Geographical Information System, AGIS, and top brass of the Nigeria Police Force to defraud Nigerians of the said sum.
Reacting in a statement issued in Abuja over the weekend, Okwudi Jamike, Media Aide to Achema, dismissed the allegations. He said the “sponsored propaganda” against the company which is “one of the leading Real Estate Company” in the Federal capital Territory, FCT, is the “handiwork of purveyors of falsehood, and a lie from the pit of hell”.
On allegations that Achema is being shielded by high-ranking police officers, the spokesman regretted that such “poisonous and weighty allegations are unfounded, and is just a failed attempt to dent the good image of Achama”.
“Mr Stephen Achema is a noble Nigerian of good character who bears a burning desire to provide solutions to Nigeria’s housing deficit. This desire was highlighted last year in a partnership deal signed with Obi Cubana, Chairman of Cubana Group, to build a smart city that will provide thousands of residential housing units for low and middle income earners, including civil servants,” he said.
The statement further charged those with substantive proof to come forth, or “forever desist” from misleading the public.
