All is now set for the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) Abuja Chapter to host a former Director-General of National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) Dame Julie Okah-Donli as September celebrity guest author.
The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday in Abuja, a statement signed by Secretary of the chapter, Eze Collins Ofoma says.
The occasion will avail the celebrity writer opportunity to share her experience as the DG of NAPTIP during her eventful tenure and beyond.
Okah-Donli, a global voice on trafficking in persons issues, will read from her literary works, ‘Parenting in the 21st Century and Murky Waters’.
The Bayelsa-born Legal Practitioner was in 2020 elected the Chairman Board of Trustees of United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund for Victims of Trafficking in Persons (UNVTF).
Okah-Donli is the second Nigerian to serve in this capacity, after Ms. Joy Ngozi Ezeilo, former UN Special Rapporteur on Trafficking in Persons, especially women and children
She is also the Executive Chairman, Roost Foundation, an Anti-Human Trafficking Non-Governmental Organisation.
