Justice Charles Okay of the Awka High Court 2, has reinstated Professor Chukwuma Soludo, as the authentic candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) for the 2021 Anambra State Governorship Election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had last week published the name of a member of the Federal House of Representatives, Chukwuma Michael Umeoji as the candidate of APGA in the Anambra State Governorship election.
The Commission which also excluded the names of the Governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) said the decision was sequel to the order of the court of the land.
INEC National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Barrister Festus Okoye, said the decision to drop Soludo and others was based on obedience to court orders served on INEC in relation to the primaries of the political parties and other processes leading to the election.

Meanwhile, APGA, has hailed the Court order directing INEC, to restore Professor Chukwuma Soludo as the candidate of the party for the November 6 guber elections.
National Chairman of APGA, Dr. Victor Oye, who spoke with journalists in an interview in Abuja shortly after the court judgment, said the judiciary in the country, has done well, especially by nipping in bud, the activities of these impostors.
Oye equally said that no matter how imperfect the Judiciary may be, it is indispensable in a democracy.
