The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed stealing of an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) belonging to a bank within the premises of the Rivers State University.
The robbers reportedly struck in the early hours of Wednesday, disguised in police uniforms and forced the security personnel to open the gate.
They subsequently carted away the ATM and a shuttle bus which was parked inside the school premises.
While confirming the incident, the state Police Command said it was on the trail of the robbers and promised to send out more details on the attack later.
