Arsenal pulled off a fantastic comeback to draw 3-3 against West Ham in a keenly contested premier league encounter on Sunday.
The Hammers made an electric start into the game as Jesse Lingard got them going with a brilliant strike, before Jarrod Bowen slotted a swiftly taken pass from a spot-kick to put the ball behind goalkeeper Berno Leno.
Tomas Soucek added to the score-line to hand the hosts a seemingly impregnable lead. But Arsenal rallied superbly after Lacazette had his strike deflected off Soucek and in just before half time to reduce the deficit.
Pressure piled up more on David Moyes’ men when Dawson turned Chambers’ cross into his own net in the 61st minute.
West Ham missed a chance to seal the game when Michail Antonio hit the post late on to open the door for Alexandre Lacazette to head in a cross from Nicolas Pepe with 10 minutes to go, to rescue a point for the visitors.
A defeat would have opened up a 10-point gap between the two sides and arguably end Arsenal’s hopes of qualifying for a European competition through a top-six finish.
The result means that West Ham miss an opportunity to draw level on points with Chelsea in fourth – instead, they’re left two points behind after their game in hand. Arsenal, meanwhile, climb to ninth.
