In the aftermath of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primaries held over the weekend, its flag bearer, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has met with some of the party’s presidential aspirants.
Atiku reportedly met with Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose and some other aspirants he defeated during the party’s primary election held last Saturday in Abuja.
Reports say the gathering is said to be a fence-meeting parley between the former Vice President and other PDP presidential aspirants.
It would be recalled that Atiku polled a total of 371 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Wike who garnered 237 votes.
Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki came third with 70 votes, while Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel, scored 38 points.
Bauchi State Governor and former FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed, polled 20 votes, Anyim Pius Anyim scored 14, Sam Ohabunwa polled 1 and the only female candidate in the pack, Olivia Tariela also scored 1 vote.
