Nigeria’s para-badminton players, including Olympic bronze medallist Eniola Bolaji, are set to compete in two major international tournaments in Spain, marking a crucial step in their quest for global recognition.
The first event, the 2025 Spanish Level 2 International Para-Badminton Championship, will take place in Vitoria, Spain, from 4 to 9 March 2025.
Five Nigerian players will compete in the singles category: Eniola Mariam Bolaji, Okoro Chinyere Lucky, Chukwuemeka Ijeoma Gift, Eze Chukwuebuka Sunday, and Nnanna Chigozie Jeremiah.
Following this, three Nigerian players will participate in the Spanish International Level 1 Para-Badminton Championship in Toledo, Madrid, from 12 to 16 March 2025.
The players include Eniola Mariam Bolaji (Women’s SL3 – Singles), Nnanna Chigozie Jeremiah (Men’s SL4 – Singles & Doubles), and Eze Chukwuebuka Sunday (Men’s SL3 – Singles & Doubles).
Jeremiah and Eze will also team up in the Men’s SL3-SL4 doubles event, further strengthening Nigeria’s presence on the international stage.
