Senegalese Captain, Sadio Mane, has incurred punishment few days after he reportedly punched his team-mate, Leroy Sane during a furious confrontation.
Mane was said to have confronted Sane, after a 0-3 UEFA Champions League loss against Manchester City in the first leg quarter-final clash last Tuesday inside dressing room.
Sane was left with a bruised lip, following the incident, while Mane was dropped from the squad for Bayern’s Bundesliga match, with Hoffenheim on Saturday and docked some of his £17m-a-year wages.
Specifically, Mane has been asked to pay as much as €300,000, being the highest fine in their history, with the club considering selling him during summer.
Mane missed Bayern’s 1-1 draw at home to Hoffenheim.
However, new Bayern Munich Manager, Thomas Tuchel, has now confirmed that Mane will be back in contention for Bayern’s return match with City on Wednesday, as they look to pull off a dramatic comeback to progress to the semi-final of the continental competition.
The former Liverpool man has struggled with being benched, since returning from the injury that ruled him out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
