David Alaba will be heading to Real Madrid in the summer after the defender turned-down a £200,000-per-week offer to stay in Munich.
Alaba has been on the radar of Europe’s elite clubs in recent weeks as Chelsea, both Manchester clubs, Liverpool and PSG all monitoring the 28-year-old.
However, the Austrian was immediately snapped up by Real Madrid, who were known favourites to secure his signature.
According to Marca, the defender agreed a four-year stay at the Bernabeu and he is set for an £11m-per-year salary having completed his medical.
Liverpool are also reported by the Independent to have held talks with the defender last year, also eyeing a free transfer this summer.
Meanwhile, the Reds rescind the decision to bring him to Anfield due to his monstrous salary demands which were not worth paying, due to his height (five-foot-nine) and age (29 in June) as quoted by Daily Mail.
Alaba has remained a crucial player for Bayern after he bagged his second Champions League trophy and will be a big miss for the Bavarians, but would be considered a perfect replacement for Sergio Ramos.
