Nigeria have failed to qualify for 2024 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for Egypt in December.
This is after the Nigerian team slipped to a 5-6 defeat at home againts Mauritania in the final qualifying match, despite beating the visiting team in their place.
The decider took place inside Beach Soccer Arena, Murtala Muhammed Square, Kaduna.
The Mauritanians snatched the ticket to the final tournament in Egypt on the strength of having scored one more goal on away ground.
Mauritania will now join hosts Egypt, Morocco and Tanzania, and the four others to emerge from qualification matches, in a eight-Nation finals.
