Chelsea left-back Ben Chiwell will be a major miss for the Blues when they face rivals Arsenal on Saturday, December 26.
The England international picked a suspected ankle injury during his side’s Premier League game against West Ham on Monday night.
Chilwell walked off the pitch in discomfort after seeing just 10 minutes of action following a collision with Jared Bowen.
However, Chelsea boss, Frank Lampard confirmed after the Monday fixture the defender will have a scan to establish the extent of the injury.
“Turned his ankle, will have a scan tomorrow to see how he is. He’s certainly a doubt for Arsenal,” Lampard confirmed.
Chilwell’s possible absence from the Emirates trip will come as a major blow for Chelsea as the league enters the busy festive period.
