Super Eagles defender, Chidozie Awaziem has disclosed that the team has learnt from the first leg mistake when they take on the Squirrels of Benin in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday.
The Beninoise took the lead in the first leg played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state before Super Eagles rallied back to a 2-1 win.
The Boavista defender said they have corrected all the mistakes noticed in the reverse fixture and are ready to secure maximum points in Port Novo on Saturday.
“Based on the last performance we had in the game in Benin we are hoping this time around to correct the mistake. And we are hoping to get the victory in this game to make sure the team is qualified for the AFCON.
“Everyone is ready and we are all fit to fight and get the points,” he said.
Nigeria require a point in the game to qualify for the 2021 African Cup Of Nations slated for Cameroon in January 2022.
