Report reaching Heritage Times HT indicates that one of Nigeria’s Super Eagles strikers, Victor Boniface, will most likely not kick any ball at the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’ivoire.
This is after the forward picked up an injury during the team’s pre-tournament proceedings at Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Boniface’s injury development adds to that of Kelechi Iheanacho who is yet to recover and join the Nigerian side.
Meanwhile, Guinea’s Syli National on Monday beat three-time African champions 2-0 in a Pre-AFCON friendly at the Bani Yas, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Goals from Aguibou Camara (15’) and Facinet Conté (65’) were enough for the Syli National.
