English Premier League side Newcastle United are considering signing Nigerian international Victor Boniface, in the coming summer.
The 24-year-old Bayer Leverkusen forward is believed to be interested in a transfer to St James’ Park, with intermediaries exploring potential exit routes for him, according to reports from England.
Boniface has recovered from hamstring injuries this season, but a move to Al Nassr during the January transfer window fell through at the last minute, leaving him at Bayer for the remainder of the season.
Despite the transfer speculation, he has maintained his performance, scoring seven goals and providing one assist in 12 matches this season.
A significant decision lies ahead for Boniface, especially with West Ham also showing interest in him.
Newcastle see Boniface as a potential alternative if they miss out on soon-to-be free agent Jonathan David from Lille.
Another Premier League giant, Manchester United, are pushing to land Boniface’s compatriot Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan to Galatasaray from Napoli.
