The British Boxing Board of Control has slammed British-Nigerian Boxer, Anthony Joshua, a 28-day suspension, few days after his brutal knockout loss to Daniel Dubois.
In a statement, the Board said the ban which is temporal, is a standard medical precaution to ensure Joshua’s safety after a technical knockout.
The 34-year-old suffered defeat in front of a massive crowd before historic crowd attendant bout held at Wembley.
Joshua’s loss to Dubois marked his fourth professional career defeat, and many are speculating about his future in boxing.
However, Joshua has made it clear that he won’t be retiring any time soon.
Already, the boxer next move is a rematch with Dubois or a highly anticipated fight with Tyson Fury.
The rematch with Dubois would depend on Joshua’s physical readiness, while the fight with Fury could happen regardless of the outcome of Fury’s upcoming bout with Oleksandr Usyk.
