Julian Nagelsmann has been confirmed as Bayern Munich’s new coach after the Bundesliga giants agreed a world-record £21.7million compensation package with RB Leipzig.
Naggelsmann’s appointment comes a week after Hansi Flick announced that he would be leaving Bayern at the end of the season.
The German is one of the most exciting young coaches in the game, having first gained prominence when he became Hoffenheim boss at just 28.
Nagelsmann agreed personal terms with the German champions on Monday, before a a huge pay-off was sealed and the deal was announced on Tuesday morning, according Sports Mail.
The 33-year-old has impressed at the helm of RB Leipzig, having led them to a third-placed finish last season, while this time around they sit second with five games to play.
Meanwhile, the news about his appointment will come as a huge blow to Tottenham, who are in search for a new manager, with the German listed as the preferred candidate.
