Security agents in Benue state have arrested three men alleged to have attacked Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state.
Ortom Security Adviser, Col Paul Hemba (rtd) disclosed that the three persons arrested were Jukun fishermen.
Hemba who said the fishermen were found and apprehended close to the scene of the attack, added that they are currently being investigated
It would be recalled that Ortom was last Saturday attacked by gunmen who he suspected to be herders along Tyo Mu, Makurdi.
With the latest report, the Governor must have mistaken fishermen for herders due to strings of similar attacks perpetrated by herdsmen in the state.
