The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the official match ball for the upcoming 2024/2025 football season.
Making it public during the final first leg of Confederation Cup tie between Morocco’s RS Berkane and Egypt’s Zamalek SC at the Berkane Municipal Stadium, CAF said the official Puma Match Ball for CAF interclub competitions for the next season named “OLA” is inspired by Africa’s colours, art and tradition.
Meanwhile, the continent’s soccer governing body has finalised schedule for the upcoming African Nations Cup (AFCON) 2025 with an announcement that December has been fixed for the tournament in Morocco.
The competition was initially slated for the summer of 2025, but conflicting schedules with FIFA’s maiden edition of the 32-team Club World Cup led to widespread discussions among stakeholders in the football community.
The 2023 edition of AFCON held between January and February 2024, with host nation Cote d’Ivoire emerging champions.
