Reports emanating from Cameroon have indicated that legendary footballer; Samuel Eto’o is in a good shape following a minor head injury he sustained from a car accident around Nkongsamba-Littoral Region.
France football had reported that the former Barcelona of Spain star was returning from a wedding when his car was hit by a public transport bus on Sunday morning.
However, Journalist Martin Camus had in the aftermath of the incident spoken with Eto’o, who wanted to reassure people that he was doing well.
The 39-year-old announced his retirement from football a year ago, after a decorated career that spanned 22 years.
Eto’o is the all time leading goal scorer in the country’s history with 56 goals and the second-most capped player with 118 appearances after Rigobert Song (137 caps).
He won several laurels across Europe including four La Liga crowns, three UEFA Champions League titles, two Coppa Italia, the FIFA Club World Cup among others.
