President Biya signed a decree announcing the appointments of several senior officers to pivotal roles within the central administration and general staff of the armed forces. In the National Gendarmerie, Colonel Abdoulaye Amoa Abel has been appointed as Inspector at the General Inspectorate, further consolidating leadership within this critical branch of the military. Within the central administration, Colonel Beyem Ebanga Armand has assumed the role of Deputy Central Director of Logistics, alongside various other appointments aimed at strengthening administrative and financial operations.
This reshuffle reflects President Biya’s intent to reinforce the structure and effectiveness of the military at a time when national security and stability are of utmost concern.
These strategic appointments highlight President Biya’s commitment to maintaining control over the defense sector and ensuring that capable leaders are positioned to address the evolving challenges facing Cameroon. As the country navigates these uncertain times, the effectiveness of these new appointments will be closely monitored by both the military and the public.
