The two teams in the middle of the European Super League controversy – Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur will square off against each other for this season’s Carabao Cup final on Sunday.
Both teams will have 2,000 fans in attendance for the big game as sport gradually returns to normality.
Pep Guardiola’s side have won this trophy in the last three seasons and will be looking to equal Liverpool’s record of four consecutive triumphs between 1981 and 1984.
However, Spurs, who parted company with manager Jose Mourinho at the start of the week, will be looking to lift their first trophy since winning this competition in 2008.
Interestingly, this year’s final will be stand-in manager Ryan Mason’s second game in charge of north after he led them to a 2-1 victory over Southampton in the mid-week.
Mason, 29, will bid to give the club their first piece of silverware since 2008 and achieving this feat would also make him the youngest manager ever to win a trophy in England.
Guardiola’s men, who are gunning for the Premier League title and the Champions League this season, will go into the game knowing that this is not a final to lose.
