Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel has admitted that his team clash with Real Madrid in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League at Stamford Bridge would be a tough encounter.
The Blues are just a clean sheet away from playing in the final after both team settled for a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture at Estadio Alfredo di Stefano last week.
Chelsea must avoid conceding a goal or defeat at Stamford Bridge if they want a replica of their 2012 success, when they reached the final after knocking out Barcelona 3-2 on aggregate.
While a third appearance in the final does not seem elusive for the west London club, Tuchel has predicted a ‘rough’ tie against the 13-time European champions.
“We are absolutely in the situation which you want to arrive in for a crucial match like this,” Tuchel said.
“We have nothing to worry about or regret.
“It will be exciting. We feel ready for a big fight and I’m sure we’ll need a big performance because Madrid will give us a rough time.
“I am very happy to arrive with this group in the semi-final.”
Real Madrid will be without their key defenders, Raphael Varane and Dani Carvajal after the club confirmed the pair have been ruled out of the clash due to injuries.
