Following an impressive first-half season, Chelsea are looking to extend their best away record for 13 years when they face Watford in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
The Blues had their lead at the top of the standings reduced to one point on Sunday, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Manchester United.
However, Thomas Tuchel’s side have been perfect away from home in their last four fixtures away from Stamford Bridge, keeping clean sheets in all four and scoring 10 goals in the process.
The West Londoners have recorded away victories at Tottenham Hotspur, Brentford, Newcastle United and Leicester City, three of those fixtures ending 3-0.
Chelsea have already set their best away record since 2008, but they will move a step closer to matching the phenomenal return from that year with another win and shutout at Vicarage Road.
During the 2007-08 campaign when Luiz Felipe Scolari was in charge, Chelsea posted six successive victories on their travels with the bonus of a clean sheet.
