Chelsea are planning to offer Andreas Christensen and Emerson Palmieri plus cash for Inter Milan’s Achraf Hakimi this summer.
The European champions have reportedly made contacts with the Serie A giants over a possible move for the 21-year-old Moroccan and it looks like Inter would be willing to struck a deal as they seek to manage their way through a financial crisis.
According to reports, the cash-strapped Serie A champions are only considering offers northwards of £70million for the former Real Madrid ace.
Hakimi’s superb title-winning season has caught the eye of several European giants and Chelsea are keen to beat the likes of Arsenal and PSG to the punch.
With Europe’s elite lurking, reports in Italy suggest Chelsea are ready to get a jump-start in the bidding war by offering Inter two players plus cash to tempt them into giving up their prized asset.
According to Italian news outlet Gianluca Di Marzio, the Blues are willing to offer both Emerson Palmieri and Andreas Christensen to the Serie A champions in the hope that the defensive duo will cover whatever hole has been left by the Hakimi on the right side of defence.
It remains to be seen if Inter would accept such an offer or if they would prefer a straight sum in order to pay off their mounting debts.
Hakimi has impressed this season at the San Siro after helping the Nerazzurri win Serie A for the first time in 11 years.
