Chelsea got their first win under Thomas Tuchel with a 2 – 0 success over Burnley on Sunday, thanks to goals from Azpilicueta and Alonso.
The hosts led before half-time, with Azpilicueta scoring his first goal in over a year in the 40th minute.
Burnley came off the back of an impressive 1 – 0 victory over defending champions Liverpool on Thursday.
Burnley never really got going and only had one chance, which came right at the very end of the game.
Meanwhile Chelsea should have scored a few more, with Hudson-Odoi hitting the post, before Alonso wrapped up the win late on with a superb volley.
This victory moves Chelsea up to seventh in the table and the face Tottenham next time out.
Meanwhile Burnley drop to 16th and they welcome Manchester City to Turf Moor on Wednesday.
