Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze ended his 17-game goal drought in La Liga with a brace in Villarreal’s 5-1 thumping of Levante on Sunday.
It was the first time the 21-year-old got on the scoresheet for the Yellow Submarines since December 3 against Sivasspor in the Uefa Europa League.
Chukwueze scored in the 63rd minute to make it 3-1 before getting the fifth goal with 15 minutes left in the game.
The Super Eagles star has now scored four goals in 35 appearances in all competitions for Villarreal this season.
The win took Unai Emery’s men to 5th place on 49 points in the league table with seven games left to play.
Villareal will square off against Arsenal in the semi-finals of this season’s UEFA Europa League.
