Former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder, Paul Pogba, has shockingly declared “I’m over, I’m dead”.
His comment which has gone wild on social media is coming months after he was handed a four-year ban after authorities confirmed he used doping substance to enhance his performance on the pitch.
The French footballer, 31, while saying he ‘doesn’t exist anymore’, said as a footballer, one’s successes and achievements could be forgotten in a minute.
He said, “Football is very beautiful but it’s cruel. You can do something great and the next day you’re nobody.
“I’m over, I’m dead. Paul Pogba doesn’t exist anymore”.
The ban placed on Pogba means he will be unable to play until 2027, by which time he will be 34.
Amid his legal battle to clear his name, Pogba’s unexpected statement has sparked concern among fans and the broader football community.
Some have already reacted on social media.
However, Pogba is appealing to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and remains under contract with Juventus until 2026.
Meanwhile, the Frenchman has reportedly found a new opportunity, as he is set to join a movie slated for release in April 2025, according to Sports Brief.
