The National Primary Health Care Development Agency, NPHCDA, on Tuesday said it has vaccinated a total of 215,277 Nigerians with the first jab of the Astrazeneca vaccine as at Match 23.
The figure represents less than one percent of Nigeria’s population which is estimated to be over 200 million people.
This was contained in a statistics released by the agency, which also stated that the figure represents a proportion of 5.5 percent coverage.
Lagos, Jigawa, Bauchi, Kaduna, Ogun and Katsina states recorded highest number of vaccinated persons, while Zamfara, Kogi, Kebbi, Niger, Taraba and Abia states are yet to administer the vaccines.
